CreAlgae is a student-run company and always seeking funding to buy supplies and equipment for our lab space to improve and increase prototyping and production. If you would like to help make the world of plastics more eco-friendly then please consider donating to CreAlgae as we push to create a bioplastic and bioresin that won’t contribute to the carbon emissions of traditional plastics!

Join Our Team

Each semester, CreAlgae looks for project fellows to aid in the prototyping and materials analysis process and design fellows to assist in the creation of CreAlgae's products and designs. Specifically, project fellows work on prototype development, recipe testing, and material analysis, while design fellows work on product ideation, mold construction, aesthetic enhancement, and inventory management.

CreAlgae is always looking for partners and advisors, as they are what keeps our project growing in performance and size! Whether you are a business that would like to sell our products or a UIUC faculty member who would like to provide us guidance, we would love to connect and discuss how you can mentor or get involved with CreAlgae.

CreAlgae is dedicated to making an impact in the Champaign-Urbana community both in our project functions and scope. We aim to do this through various social initiatives, proliferating more knowledge and awareness of the problem of algal blooms and wasteful plastic consumption amongst our peers and neighbors.
